Beware of fraudsters impersonating bank staff to provide low-interest loans
Fraudsters may pose as bank staff and lure you to provide personal information and make payments with promises of low-interest loan plans and requesting a loan guarantee fee. Beware of such scams and avoid sharing your personal details to anyone. You should verify the identity of that person by contacting the bank through official channels.
Beware of phone scams by fake online shopping platforms staff
Fraudsters may pose as staff members of online shopping platforms, claim that you've signed up for a VIP membership and charge fees from your bank account. If you request to cancel the membership, they'll connect you to a fake bank hotline and trick you into disclosing your bank account details. Fraudsters may also ask you to transfer money to a specific bank account, otherwise your account will be frozen due to suspicious activity. Please be cautious and don't hastily send money or disclose personal information to unknown callers. Make sure to verify the caller's identity by cross-checking their phone numbers with the details on the platforms' official websites.
Beware of scams! Don't provide bank, credit card, debit card, investment, insurance and MPF accounts or other key personal information via links embedded in suspicious messages claiming to be from us.
